Dear Dave,
I shall definitely be protesting on 29th at The Playing Fields. I live on Barrow Hill, and have done since 1976. I have no fancy pension, my decision many years ago was to invest in my home. My original purchase was a 3 bedroom semi, half of Hawthorn Villas. I was fortunate enough during the `80s to buy the other half, thinking that in the future we would have a tangable asset to sell, down size and have some money left over for our old age. As things are the chances of being able to sell my house in the future with 7 wind turbines only 500 yards away seem bleak. Perrish the thought, but if these things do go ahead, has anyone given a thought to `compensation` for all of us in the shadows of these horrors? I read that the average down value is 20%. Being that my place is worth £400k that's a downvaluation of £80k, possibly my future. By compensation I don`t mean curtains for the village hall, or a painting in the surgery, I mean cash in my hand, something that compensates me for the scar on my life. As I understand it individuals can sue developers if the development has an adverse effect on their property value. As it will affect everyone I would like to suggest that the developer be sued on mass, should this go ahead. We could also be awkward during construction. I am quite happy to park my car out on the road, if others did the same on alternate sides, quite legally,  we could just be bloody awkward for the sake of it, a sort of civil uprising.
See you on 29th.
Regards
Tim
