Dear Sir or Madam,

Can you please tell me what is wrong with the Planning Dept. of Shepway Council? Sellindge is a village and yet its treated as an industrial estate. We pay our house tax but are constantly being kicked in the teeth by having various schemes forced upon us. I have lived here for 46 years and the things that I have had to endure are alarming. We only had the railway running through the village but no railway station. We then got the M20, High Speed link, Converter Station and the Anaerobic Digester. Quite frankly the people of Sellindge are fed up to the back teeth with all these changes.

I get the impression that as we are a small community its considered acceptable to put anything in our locality. We are now in the process of fighting the installation of a number of Wind Turbines, where those proposing the scheme are only interested in lining their pockets. The height of these turbines is enormous and the blade span as big as the London Eye. I ask you, would the Planning Committee want these in the vicinity where they live; I don't think so?

Will you please stop the application made by Mr Price who from what I can gather, is already wealthy enough. He is supposedly using the argument that he wants to install it for his own personal use on his farm. Do you honestly believe that because I don't? There seem to be too many like this who use any excuse so that they can make money.

We keep hearing the word Democracy banded about as if its the flavour of the month. Our young troops are being maimed and killed in foreign countries to establish this policy. I would like to see it implemented in the UK as quite often the views of the people tend to be ignored.
