My objections to the six turbines

Subject: Planning application for wind farms Y12/0451/SH

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to register my opposition to the building of 6 wind turbines (see above) in Sellindge.
My reasons for objection are that they are unsightly,  inefficient, and will cost the community many problems not only during their construction.  They are costly to maintain,  and are a danger to low flying aircraft and wildlife.  This is not a proven efficient green way to produce electricity.  They  will become defunct when the nuclear power stations are built and re-commissioned at  Dungeness/Lydd.   When they are of no further use, the turbines will be phenomenally expensive to dismantle and dispose of the waste.
They are a blemish and a depressing sight to the communities around them, all for no good economic reason other than that people who allow them to be built on their farmland will receive huge subsidies for this to come about.  The firms who manufacture them (mostly foreign companies) and the companies who install them, will of course benefit, at the cost to local communities.  The cost of dismantling them will be born in time by the taxpayers, who are also the people paying for them to be built in the first place.  To allow this planning application to go ahead would be unthinkable to anyone who has thought this out.  If allowed to go ahead, this application will be a case of “much pain, no gain” for our community.

Yours sincerely,
